Factor completely x^2– 7x + 18 Factor completely x^2– 7x + 18 @Mathematics

OpenStudy (agreene):

did you type this correctly? This isn't factorable by normal methods.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Factor completely x^2– 7x + 18. that's what the problem says.

OpenStudy (agreene):

\[\frac14 (7 i+\sqrt{23}-2 i x) (-7 i+\sqrt{23}+2 i x)\] So says my CAS

hero (hero):

Must've been the solution she was looking for

OpenStudy (agreene):

I guess... If I had that question, I'd just say it is... that CAS result looks rather annoying to deal with in any type of analysis.

hero (hero):

That's just your CAS version of the answer

OpenStudy (agreene):

Hero, I dont know why you linked to that--since it isnt a factorization of the question.
