what is the difference between rotational motion and circular motion? what is the difference between rotational motion and circular motion? @Physics
heena!!
the rotational motion is like when rotating one cylinder and the circular motion is when one obiject going,writing allways one route tha same like one perimeter of one circle - hope that you will can seeing the differentes
didnt get it jhonny
i will say
plz
In rotational motion, the object is rotating around a central point. e.g. a top spinning on the centrally located tip. In circular motion, the object is not tied to the central point but going around a point in a circular track. e.g. a cyclist going around a circular track.
will u xplain a litle bit more plz
@harkirat?
heena u see the main thing to differentiate is the axis
u see in rotational motion the asis is inside the body tself
whereeas in circular motion the asis is outside
thnx i got it
:)
and one new example for your understanding so when playing football the ball always making rotational motion
Rotational movement is around a fixed point while circular motion is in a circular path.
movement of couple produces purely rotational motion couple-two equal and opposite forces and circular motion is the motion of the particle along the circumference of the circle
earth rotating about its axis -->> Rotational motion Earth revolving around the sun -->> Circular motion (ya its bit elliptical....but try to correlate it)
