The first one you just need to find the average x and y values: (-3+2)/2 for the x and (-8+5)/2 for the y. (-1/2,-3/2)

The second one is an extension of pythag. thmn. √[(2-1)^2+(-3-4)^2] = √(1+49) = √50 = 5√2
