Is there a e-book i can use during this course? thanks in advance...

Yep, if you check out the "Readings" link on the course page it lists three electronic sources, one of which is an e-book (though in pdf form). Here is the link: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-00-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-fall-2008/readings/ Also, Dive Into Python ( http://www.diveintopython.net/) and Non-Programmers Tutorial to Python 2.6 may also be helpful ( http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Non-Programmer%27s_Tutorial_for_Python_2.6) As for the latter, I can say that it has a helpful description of recursion, but I have not used it for anything else.
