Solve the equation. http://www.webassign.net/latexImages/9/0/2932470f9ba438ad9f98e33828627e.gif

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

use the log rule: log(a) + log(b) = log(ab) to simplify the right-hand-side then you will be left with logs on both sides, which you can remove

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am sorry asnaseer, but that does not make sense to me at all.

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

@janie bond - are you aware of the log rule that I stated above?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i understand it thanks!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@asnaseer- no I am not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is what it will look like janie bond: log(4x+5)=log(3x+15) then 4x+5=3x+15 x=10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the log rules are: when you add, you multiply and when you subtract, you divide

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and vice versa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k. but I need to be shown with a word problem. Example: What is the child's weight in kg to the nearest tenth. What is the recommended dosage in mg per day for this child? How many mg will this be per dose? The order is to give 250mg every 6 hrs. Is this dosage accurate? How many mL world you need to administer a 250 mg dosage? stuff like that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is medical math that I am talking about.

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

@janie bond - do you have a specific question that you want answered? if so, just post it to the group.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What I wrote out above is all the questions. I am needing someone to explain what steps to take to come up with a answer.

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

@janie bond - I am sorry but I do not follow you. maybe someone else can help you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummm thats a totally different prob...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A child weighs 20 lbs. based on the weight is how many kg they can have.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u should post it to the left

OpenStudy (anonymous):

post what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

post your problem to the left
