Given function y = 0:5 sin (3x + 5),find the amplitude

OpenStudy (a_clan):

Maximum value of sine function is 1. When we multiply it with co-efficient 5, the amplitude should be 5 units

Thank you very much

The amplitude is the difference between the maximum and minimum of the given function. for clarity, is your function this? y =0.5 sin(3x+5)? If so the maximum is 0.5 and the minimum is -0.5 which would make the amplitude 1
