Why can you not build a model of methane? (Srry...I know it is irrelevant to the group) @Health Sciences

You cannot? As far as I know, you can... you mean like a physical model for visualization? Or something else?

Perhaps you mean why can't you draw it on a piece of paper. And the answer is because it has the shape of a tetrahedron, a pyramid with three sides (and a bottom of course). There's no way a solid thing like a tetrahedron can be laid flat on a piece of paper -- it's inherently 3-dimensional.
