What is a static equilibrium? @Physics

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

it is when all particles within a system are at rest and each particle has no force acting upon it.

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

by "no force" here I mean "the sum of the forces acting upon each particle is zero"

OpenStudy (beefarm):

The net torque is also 0, isn't it?
