OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

The shorter leg of a 30-60-90 triangle is 3.5 feet. Find the perimeter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3.5 times 2 and then times 3

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Didn't I teach you anything? Multiply the short leg by sqrt3 to get the long leg. Multiply the short leg by 2 to get the hypotenuse. Add the three sides together and you have the perimeter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then add the 3 #s together

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

im not good with triangles....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u get what im saying?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

You can at least learn the relationship between the sides of a 30-60-90 triangle. You don't have to be good with triangles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since its a 30 60 90 triangle and the smallest is 3.5, then you double to get the 2nd and triple to get the 3rd.... then u add up the 3 sides because thats how u find the perimeter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

clear?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Stop it mario. You multiply the short leg by radical 3 to get the long leg NOT 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isnt the answer 21?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

um whats radical

OpenStudy (mertsj):

The answer is 3.5+7+3.5(sqrt3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt{?}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is a radical

OpenStudy (mertsj):

radical is square root
