Find the zeroes and multiplicity of the polynomial. g(x)=5x(x^2-2x-1) I think the multiplicity is 2?

OpenStudy (agreene):

\[x=0\space\space;x=1\pm\sqrt2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get that? quadratic formula?

OpenStudy (agreene):

i did completing the square.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know what the multiplicity is?

OpenStudy (agreene):

Not entirely, I think it has to do with how many times the roots of an equation can be represented by the equation itself, or something?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so it would be 1?

OpenStudy (agreene):

I think so.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thank you!
