I know gravitropism and thigmotropism are factors... just wanna figure out if there are any more factors affecting directional growth... of plant roots

Yep, availability of water, nutrients (ie. If a plant is deficient in nitrogen it will grow more roots where nitrogen is found), soil density (ie. if there is a dense patch in the soil and the plant can't grow around it the root growth will change direction. Of course the main one is gravity :P
