What is software engineering? (differences with computer science and computer engineering) What is software engineering? (differences with computer science and computer engineering) @Computer Science

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think Software Engineering is the field of Computer Science that tackles the problem of designing and implementing efficient, reliable, maintainable, and scalable software.

OpenStudy (osanseviero):

ok...thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Software Engineering (SE) is the application of a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to the development, operation, and maintenance of software

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Computer engineering, also called computer systems engineering, is a discipline that integrates several fields of electrical engineering and computer science required to develop computer systems

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the difference is in science ! what i mean is computer software engineers mostly focus on building most efficient and reliable technologies with the methods which computer scientist produce , but neither have limitation , I mean they can both work on scientific and engineering matters , in the university most of courses in computer science field has concentration on math , but in software engineering most of focus is in efficient and reliable designs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where do I stand to be more marketable having done computer science or having done software engineering

OpenStudy (anonymous):

More marketable to whom?
