can someone please explain what this is 40% to 30% = 40:30 = 4:3 how they she get 4:3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is just a ratio 40:30 is equivallent to 40/30 which = 4/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so if I have 17 to 15 = 17:15 =1.3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes exactly! just think of it as a ratio which is simply division ex. 17:15 == 17/15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when I divide 40/30 I don't get 4:3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha you get 1.3333333 right??
