How do I put in in standard form and then classify it by degree and by number of terms?

like this:
\[-4a ^{4}+a ^{3}+a ^{2}\]

a polynomial with one term is a: Monomial
a polynomial with two terms is a: Binomial
a polynomial with three terms is a: Trinomial
anything after this can be considered just a polynomial
