This is similar to the last problem you posted. What you have to do is get both the c's on one side and then the constants on the other. 4c + 12 = 7c + 10.38 To get both c's on one side, we will subtract by 4c. 4c - 4c + 12 = 7c - 4c + 10.38 0 + 12 = 3c + 10.38 Now we will subtract both sides by 10.38 to get the c term by itself. 12-10.38 = 3c + 10.38 - 10.38 1.62 = 3c Now to get c by itself, we will divide both sides by 3. 1.62/3 = 3c/3 And since 3/3 = 1, what you have on the right side is 1c which equals c 1.62/3 = c
