x2-16=0... add 16 to both sides, making it x2=16
Find the square root of both sides, and since 16 has an even square, the solution is
x=4 and x=-4
i understand how this works, but i need "another way" to do this problem.

Factorise it. x^2 - 16=0 <=> (x+4)(x-4)=0
