What do the graphs 3x-y=-2 and x^2-y^2=-2 look like? What do the graphs 3x-y=-2 and x^2-y^2=-2 look like? @Mathematics

Well, depends on what the exercise's asking for, really.
If it's asking just "Look at the equation and guess by the look".
You could say.. "Well, the first one is a line indeed, while the second one must be a hyperbola!"

If it's asking to graph it by studying it, you will have to check for the domain, continuity, derivability, etc.

If it's asking to stick in a point and give me the y so I can connect the dots, well.. you can do that :)...
