Which of the following is a type of wave that does not need a medium though which to travel? Transverse Longitudinal Equilibrium Amplitude @Mathematics

OpenStudy (jamesj):

This definitely belongs in @physics. Nonetheless. Only two of these are types of wave: longitudinal and traverse. Equilibrium and amplitude are terms we use with waves, but they're not wave types. Of the two wave types, traverse doesn't require a medium. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transverse_wave Longitudinal does: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longitudinal_wave
