OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, I am very willing to help you out. So, first things first: we have to find out what was life in Bahamas like, in the 1950's. Allow me some research-time on the topic. And stick around.

*in the Bahamas

Life in the Bahamas back in the 1950's was very hard for the people who lived in such cities like Nassau. The Bahamas were mostly inhabited by black people who were very poor. They begged for money once they saw the arriving white visitors. The visitors loved the views and the style of the Bahamas. The female visitors were delighted with all the hand-made items sold by the women of the Bahamas. The policemen in the Bahamas were highly trained for their positions. The white inhabitants of the Bahamas had more comfortable lives than the native people of the Bahamas. The whites always visited and stayed in "the modern Nassau", where they vacationed in luxurious hotels and villas. Swimming pools, playing tennis and golf -simply having fun. I would love to write more, but I have to go. You will find this video very useful: http://www.bahamaslocal.com/newsitem/7741/Nassau_of_the_1950s.html
