lets write 4/5 as, 4x/5x, where 4x is just the number of boys and 5x is the number of girls. now you can simply solve this eqaution(since we know the total number of students): 4x+5x=945. Once you determine what x is, simply rreplce the x in 5x (since 5x gives us the number of girls) with taht value
