How does the amount of humidity affect hurricane formation?

OpenStudy (aroub):

Humidity is the amount of water in the air. A Hurricane needs humidity to develop. A hurricane starts off as a series of thunderstorms which intensify as it moves over the (warm) humid sea. The humidity is at a constant level and therefore continues to grow over the sea. Any sort of decrease or increase in humidity can change the strength of a hurricane. Too much or too little humidity and there will be no hurricane because the air become too saturated or too dry respectivley to form. http://killacan.com/how-does-the-amount-of-humidity-affect-hurricane-formation-/ Hope it helps :)
