Hi! I have to get a volume of ellipsoid (x^2/a^2+y^2/b^2+z^2/c^2)=x/h, where a,b,c,h>0. I put 0<ϕ<2π and -π/2<φ<π/2 but i'm not sure about r...can anyone help me? sandra

OpenStudy (jamesj):

In general, the volume of the ellipsoid x^2/a^2+y^2/b^2+z^2/c^2 = 1 is 4pi.abc/3 Now take your equation and turn it into one of this form (with modified a,b,c; x,y,z as necessary)
