Segment has midpoint P. If M has coordinates (14, -3) and P has coordinates (1, 4), what are the coordinates of N? distance formula again right?

hero (hero):

Yup

hero (hero):

But I can show you an alternative way of finding the coordinates graphically

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go for it. but theres no graph. and when i solve it i got \[\sqrt{218}\] which makes no sense should i try midpoint?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hero means geometrically.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

hero (hero):

I meant graphically. Points are plotted on a graph and, yes connected geometrically, but anything that is expressed geometrically whether it be an algebraic expression, a point or a geometric figure are all displayable on electronic or paper graphs. So ultimately a graph is the means by which to display or represent geometric objects. I don't need a FFM to come up behind me trying to correct me. I say what I mean and mean what I say.
