Part 1 Choose 3 of the polynomials from the list below and classify each one by degree and number of terms. (2 points each) 1. 9x2yz 2. 18x2 + 5ab – 6y 3. 8a – 5 4. 4x3 + 3x2 – x – 4 5. x + 2xyz 6. 3x + y + z 7. 2x3y + y2x – 3x + 4 8. 6x2 Part 2 Explain whether the polynomials below are written in standard form. If not, use complete sentences to explain how to write the polynomial in standard form. (2 points each) 1. 3a3b – 4ab2 + a2 2. –8x2y2 + 10xy4 – 6x2y

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

f(x)=ax+b - the standard forme

would you be willing to give an example? :)

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

f(x)=2x+1 and this is linear but when there is like f(x)=x2 -3x+2 where x2 is x squared so this is quadratic

hero (hero):

These are all easy

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

yes right
