Is a resistor a directional device?

OpenStudy (aroub):

and what do they actually mean by "directional device" ?

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

a resistor is not a directional device. it allows current to flow through it in either direction. a directional device would only allow the current to flow in one direction (e.g. a diode).

OpenStudy (aroub):

Oh! Okay, thank you :)
