Can someone tell me the specific gravity of glass? I can't seem to find the information online. I need it for a class project in my Calculus class.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

specific gravity? O_O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/specific-gravity-solids-metals-d_293.html seems to have it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ITs either that or the general gravity of glass, i don't know thats what it says on the paper. We're actually suppose to be finding the amount of glass used to make a martini glass (she gave us one as part of the assignment), and the volume of liquid it will hold.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why do you need the specific gravity to answer that question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah wait, I think she just wants me to find out how to determine the specific gravity of glass using the formula for it.
