so in finding the area between two curves, it is usually the larger function minus the lower function, how do u determine which is the larger and which is the lower function???

First method: Graph it.
Second Method: Find points of interception, pick test points for each interval, and whichever function is bigger for the test point is bigger for that interval, same for the converse result, repeat for all intervals.
