how should i graph this ? y -4 = 2(x + 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 2x + 6 is the same equation, when you expand and +4 to each side. I assume you can draw such a line.

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

Alright, so the formula for a line is y=mx+b. So, right now, your equation is not in the right formula on either side! On the right, distribute 2. So now we have y-4=2x+2. Move your 4 by adding it to both sides, y=2x+6. Now, graphing your line, a slope of 2/1, and y intercept of 6.

is it x over y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean like x/y or y/x when you graph i knw stupid question..LOL
