Well first you will have to decide which species of herion you want. I believe Egretta thula is very beautiful judging by the wikipedia page on herions.
Next you will have to encourage two adult herions to frequent your house at the mating season and allow them to make a nest where ever they choose. During the incubation period you must not disturb them or you will fail at making a herion! After hatching you have now made yourself your very own herion and you can become a famous birdwatcher+documentary maker in your own back yard!!!
