Volume of a 100g of stone is 200cm cube3.If density of water is 10 cube3 kg / m cube3, will the stone float or sink in water. What will be the mass of water displaced by the stone ? Ramya

OpenStudy (ash2326):

density of stone=mass/volume 100/200 0.5 g/cm^3 (0.5/1000)*100^3 kg/m^3 0.5*1000kg/m^3 500 kg/m^3 since density of stone is greater than water it'll sink

Thank you ash2326 for your reply to the question !! Ramya
