OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following is not a common unit of force? acceleration pounds Newtons dynes

OpenStudy (fretje):

a pound is a weight, not a force, and acceleration is "change of velocity per unit of time" Newton and Dyne are units of Force.

OpenStudy (fretje):

pounds (weight) multiplied by acceleration though gives also a force, according to newtons law F=m.a (force equals mass times acceleration)

OpenStudy (fretje):

Also Dynes are non metric system SI units (systeme international), but it is an accepted unit. 1dyn (Dyne) = 10e-5 N (Newton)
