for relative error the equation is: \[ABS(actual-measured)/actual\]
so in your case it would be...
And then since you're calculating the error in area you would use your calculated relative errors and actual values for L and W and plug them into this equation to get relative error for area: \[\Delta A=\Delta W*L+W*\Delta L\] \[\Delta A=rel. error for Area\]
