Help....I'm trying to create a table for y=3x. Am I doing this right? I got: 3(1)=3 So the slope and the intercept is 3? Please explain

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

you are doing correct.

Thanks

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

No problem! ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dont forget to use the formula y=mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (blues):

The slope is what you multiply x by. The y intercept is the value of the function when x = 0, so to find it you substitute 0 into your equation and solve for y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like 3x=0

OpenStudy (blues):

Yup, 0 is the y intercept. And three is the slope.

Gotcha. Thanks
