fluttering magnets how do they work?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

They have a magnetic force Kinda like a plus side and and a minus side whenever they get close to each other they start getting attracted to each other until they stick kinda as simple as i can put it without using Wikipedia sorry....... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

magnets work based on the principles of of the north and south pole because the earth is a big ball of magnet it self, and it also obeys the law of faraday that like charges repel while un like charges attracts this is the principle at which magnets work.
