My comparative essay is about the similarities of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and The Glass Castle.

When you're writing a comparative essay, you basically have two options:
You either write about how the stories are the same, or how they are different.

Easiest thing, find two characters and what makes them alike.
Then make whatever you found general, and uhm, relatable to society.

Like im comparing sesame street to barney.
Elmo and Barney are the same cause they both talk to kids.
Thesis: Both elmo and barney were created to relate to children, allowing them to properly develop learning skills.
