y^2-8y+16=25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9,-1?

OpenStudy (lilg132):

y^2 - 8y + 16 = 25 move the 25 to the other side so it = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can work it out so far lol but im catching on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(x=4)^2=25\] \[x-4=5\] \[x=9\] \[x-4=-5\] \[x=-1\] yup

OpenStudy (lilg132):

y^2 - 8y + 16 - 25 = 0 y^2 - 8y - 9 = 0 a = 1 b = -8 c = -9 use the formula i stated before to work it out :) and the answer you have given is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or if you prefer \[x^2-8x-9=0\] \[(x+1)(x-9)=0\] \[x=-1,9\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i did and it worked out. thanks yall!
