particular solution? y''-2y'+2y = 5xsin(x) I dont know how to solve the particular solution... yp = (aX+b)cosx + (bX+d)sinx could some one please write it out for me?

OpenStudy (jamesj):

Take this form, where a,b,c,d are constants yp = (ax+b)cosx + (cx+d)sinx substitute it into the differential equation, and you'll find a number of simultaneous equations in a,b,c,d. Then solve them.

OpenStudy (jamesj):

I'll tell you that each of a,b,c,d are non-zero.

hii james, thanks for the tip... and i got my final answer.. and dammm that was a lot of writing >.< hahah
