Finding the parallel and perpendicular equation for: y = -7x+6 I have for parallel: y = -7x+26 and for perpendicular: y = 1/7x +32/7. Is that right?

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

correct :D

Parallel => slopes are the same Perpendicular => slope(perpendicular) = -1/(slope(original)) So yes, you're correct. Remember that all that matters is the slope.
