Money and powers are becoming the basic needs for the modern people in this 21st century which has deduced the fact to amend maslow's hierarchy of basic needs.

Hmmm...I have twpoints of view on this. First, the concern that as we add needs to the human condition, the more we will find we have more needs. New and recently discovered needs are advertised as ways by which our needs can now be met and somewhere along the line it gets to the point that no needs are being met. Historically, human lifestyle mean "living under the stars" while the needs of food/water were met by the earth. Shelter was as much met by the earth. But with the introduction of civlization, "shelter" came to mean a very different thing than it had in tribalism. By cilvilizational definition, "shelter" is meant as making the whole of the earth a human shelter, and a human shelter only. From that argument, it would be no, not to amend the hierarchy but to pay greater attention to the needs we do have and why they aren't being met.
Second, it doesn't matter if we amend the hierarchy or not. The actual base needs still exist. Money and power are the means by which civilization imposes upon its' population to meet the basest of needs, food/water and shelter. We have to work to make money and the amount of power we possess will directly relate to our being able to produce/confiscate money. It goes so far as governments wielding enough power to invade and essentially confiscate all resources, oil for example, of another country. Usually in the name of trade and free commerce. Money and power may be on the list of Cultural Needs but I don't see where they belong on the Human Needs of Maslows list. I would also argue that there needs to be a discovery a hierarchy of Behaviroal Needs, simply so we can honestly evaluate if we need to continue to meet the needs of our culture. We may find our culture, our civilization don't at all meet our needs.
