OpenStudy (anonymous):

please help given f(x)=x+3 and g(x)=2x^2 find (f o g) (x) and g^-1(x)

OpenStudy (eyust707):

f of g of x?

OpenStudy (eyust707):

f(g(x)) this means take what ever g(x) is equal to, and plug it into f(x)

OpenStudy (eyust707):

so f(g(x)) = (2x^2) + 3

OpenStudy (eyust707):

i believe g^-1(x) would simply be the inverse of g(x) inverese means "flip it over" so instead of 2x^2 ---- 1 we get 1 ---- = g^-1(x) 2x^2
