@Mathematics The typical exponential function, y = ax, has asymptote ________ and y-intercept ________. A)y = 0; (0,a) B)y = 0; (0,1) C)y = a; (0,a) D)y = a; (0,1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

asymptote is \[y=0\] point is (0,1) assuming you mean \[y=a^x\]

@ sabrinay25 really random collection of problem here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So.... it would be A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it would be B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here are two decent pictures of \[y=2^x\] you can see that it crosses the y - axis at \[(0,1)\] and that is because \[2^0=1\] the second picture shows you that the asymptote is y = 0 aka the x - axis http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=y+%3D+2^x
