why speed of sound in hydrogen is 1270 m/s at 0 degree celsius and alcohol is 1210 m/s at 0 degree calsius though speed of sound in liquids is more than speed of sound in gases

OpenStudy (espex):

You have to look at the speed of sound through each state of a same molecule, is hydrogen in the same state as the alcohol? It would be the same as asking why Jill can run a mile in 4 minutes and Jack can swim a mile in 3 minutes when the average mile is run in 6 minutes.
