factor 3x^2-14x+8
she or he don't care how to do just need answer, so better go to wolframalpha and do with it help all your homeworks
no i want to know how to do it
Even easier version: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=factor++3x%5E2-14x%2B8 dont have to scroll as much ^_^
all your questions are similar, it means you learn nothing and don't even try to do yourself if you tried to do yourself you would show us what you have done and where you failed, but yout ONLY post question..
these arent all my questions and i have did them im just checking them
Same process as in the previous problem: The coefficient of the x^2 term is 3, and the only integers that multiply to 3 are 1 and 3... (3x +/- ?)(x +/- ?) Now there are several ways to factor the constant term 8... 1*8, or 2*4 (3x 1)(x 8) (3x 8)(x 1) or (3x 2)(x 4) (3x 4)(x 2) So to get -14 as the coefficient for x we can write (3x - 2)(x - 4) Because -2x + -12x = -14x Also -2*-4 = +8 and 3x * x = 3x^2 So that's it. :)
3x^2-14x+8 3x^2-12x-2x+8 3x(x-4)-2(x-4) (x-4)(3x-2)
i put x+3 instead
if you did it then you can check your answer with wolframalpha and if it's incorrect SHOW us what you did and we will point you mistake
ok
