find the vertex, the line of symmetry, the maximum or minimum value of the quadratic function.. f(x)=-x^2+8x+6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = 4 is the symmetry (4,22) is the vertex 22 is the maximum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use \[x=-\frac{b}{2a}\] to find a) the first coordinate of the vertex b) the axis of symmetry then replace x by this to find y, and that will give you the maximum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cant believe i got that right lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh the equation is x=4 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):
