find the vertex, the line of symmetry, the maximum or minimum value of the quadratic function.. f(x)=-2x^2+2x+1

OpenStudy (stacey):

Use the formula x=-b/(2a) to find the x value of the vertex. Since the number in front of the x^2 term is negative, the parabola opens downward and has a maximum at the vertex. Also x=-b/(2a) is the line of symmetry.
