Starting to write a 1500 word essay on web servers, microsoft IIS servers. any tips, articles or sites?

I think the easiest thing would to do a comparative essay, and simple talk about why its better than some other random server

1500 words is a lot so you will want to have a few issues to talk about. I think briefing the reader about how they work, and then the commonalities, and then how they differ and how there is room for improvement would be a good idea. Like saying "this is what the servers are like now, here's the direction they have been going in" and then concluding with "here's what we one day could do with them".
