Hi everyone, can you tell me what does "The morals homosapien attribute to their deity is attributed to the evolution of our minds." mean exactly?
I'm not sure because that is a weird sentence but here's my guess. As our minds evolved, we developed the capability to have ideas of morality and religion. As animals, human's didn't have the ability to entertain concepts beyond our natural programming to eat, sleep, and replicate, but as our minds evolved, we became able to hold notions of morality - which most societies came to link with deities.
I see! Thanks! :)
It's sort of like, to approach godliness, we must let our minds evolve. Just as the homo sapiens saw their deity to have possessed absolute wisdom.
I would take the statement to mean..."The morals and ethics a men/women attribute to their deities is in direct correlation to the morals and ethics that have evolved in their minds." Humans do see their gods in an individual personification, whether that is from a civilized religion or from a tribal culture. Their gods share their views, perspectives and morals. They would have to, if they didn't then they would be foriegn gods, gods of another religion or culture and they wouldn't have a relative connection to the people.
