Please help with this sine/cosine law trig word problem? I'm sooooooo confused :(( Grade 11.

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

A rescue helicopter flew from its base for 35 km on a course of 330 degrees to pick up an accident victim. It then flew 25 km on a course of 090 degrees to the hospital. What distance and on what course will the helicopter fly to return to its home base?

Did you draw a good picture? Remember that bearings are clockwise from north.

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

I dont know how I', supposed to draw a diagram for that :( i tried but got the wrong answer

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

The answer is 31.2 km on a course of 194 degrees, btw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

draw your picture with your protractor, then depending on the type of triangle you have, use pythagoreans therom/sine and cos if its a right triangle, or the law of sines if it isn't

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(Protractor isn't actually needed because the angles are relatively easy.)
