so, first you want to multiply the 1st 1 by 10 : and you would get, (52 x 10^5) then you would also multiply the 2nd one by ten : (38 x 10^3) so then if you multiply them together, you would multiply 38 x 52 and then add the exponents : (1,976 x 10^8) if you are supposed to place that in scientific notation, your answer would be (1.976 x 10^11)
