how are DNA and messenger RNA (mRNA) alike

DNA uses deoxyribose sugar while RNA uses ribose sugar. DNA nucleotide bases are Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, Cytosine RNA nucleotide bases are Adenine, Uracil, Guanine, Cytosine. DNA is double stranded and RNA is a single strand.

they both are involved with the genetic materials for the cell (or the body). The DNA has all the genetic codes while RNA transfers those codes throughout the cell

please answer me this: are these questions exam questions? I get a lot of "how are X and Y alike?". if your teacher gives you this kind of homework, you are free to tell them "that's frickin' stupid" from me. they should try teaching you interesting knowledge instead.
